The position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance. As the company works towards the production of its PAL-V Liberty vehicle, we are looking for a strong financial leader to oversee and enhance its financial operations.

In this role, you will lead the financial accounting and reporting department. The team consists of an interim Financial Controller, an external ERP consultant who also works as a Finance Officer, and a Project Lead who occasionally assists with financial projects. Together, they ensure the financial health and efficiency of our innovative company. You will take ownership of all aspects of financial administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial processes. This includes corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and developing internal control policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality, who understands that working with a small team in a scale-up environment also requires operational work to be picked up.

Your future job

Tasks and responsibilities

Lead the financial accounting and reporting department, ensuring accountability for the end results.
Own and continuously improve the planning and control cycle, including monthly closing, consolidation of monthly results, coordination of budget preparation, financial forecasts (including cash flow), preparation of financial reports, and variance analysis.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, including audits and corporate income tax (CIT)fillings.
Maintain and continuously enhance the internal control framework.
Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.

Softwareskills

Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems such as Odoo, is highly desirable.
Skilled in using Excel for complex data analysis and financial modeling.

Your profile

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
You have a minimum of 7 years experience in financial management and reporting.
Demonstrate familiarity with and experience in a production environment.
You have experience working in an international environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are among your key strengths.
You possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
You are detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy in your work.
You have experience in maintaining and improving internal control frameworks.
You are committed to ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and regulations.
Good knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS.
