Senior Certification Engineer - Aircraft Structures
The position
We are seeking a Senior Certification Engineer with expertise in aircraft structures to join our dynamic team. As the importance of reinforcing certification output grows, your role will become increasingly vital. PAL-V is a true pioneer within the aircraft industry, having developed a certification plan that has been reviewed and received a No Technical Objection from EASA.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring coherence among all structure-related tests. As a Senior Certification Engineer, you will be a technical expert, facing new challenges every day. One day, you might be resolving technical issues arising from various tests, and the next, you could be developing the test philosophy for the future using the building block approach.
Your future job
Tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare and review test plans, support text execution, and ensure alignment with certification requirements.
- Implement and execute the test philosophy using a building block approach.
- Ensure coherence among all structure tests and support the certification process.
- Address and resolve technical issues arising from tests.
- Engage in discussions with EASA panel 3 (structures) regarding test plans and results.
Software skills
- We use SolidWorks and Windchill, familiarity with these packages is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
- Programming skills (Python, Matlab) is a pre.
Your profile
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering and proven work experience in the field.
- Knowledge of EASA Part21, and certification specifications, preferably CS27, or other certification bases like CS23/CS25.
- Strong knowledge of strength and fatigue assessments, materials, metals, and composites.
- Ability to address and resolve issues.
- Comfortable engaging in discussions with EASA and other stakeholders.
- A dedicated team player who takes responsibility for both individual and collective achievements, ensuring high standards are met.
